Responsable de Compras y Logística Coruña Detalles del cliente Our client is a manufacturer of motion and control technologies Descripción de la oferta 1 Ensure a safe and secure working environment for all employees
2 Lead and manage all procurement, materials management and logistics activities, including supplier selection and evaluation; order placement; inventory management; supplier performance; project delivery; customer LISC; and cost control of both Direct and Indirect supply of goods and services.
3 Ensure appropriately trained staffing levels are in place to support the timely movement of materials to achieve customer expectations;
4 Ensure all supplier and sub-contract activities are performed safely with zero accidents and promote the reporting of near miss incidents across the business
5 Ensure compliance to Corporate, Divisional and local Policies
6 Identify areas of risk in the supply chain, effectively prioritise, develop and implement plans to mitigate such risks;
7 Ensure ongoing development and improvement of the Lean Fundamentals; utilising and promoting the standard tools available (PHconnect, PFEP, ERP, etc)
8 Ensure 100% data integrity, accuracy and ownership for all planning parameters
9 Monitor and enforce the use of Approved suppliers and ensure any new suppliers are fully assessed in line with Division procedures and policies.
10 Ensure >90% oftheDivisionspendiscoveredbyStrategicProcurementAgreements
11 Build supplier relationships; conduct negotiations regarding pricing, long-term contracts and quotations in accordance with purchasing authority; develop strategies to ensure the company's long-term purchasing goals are met.
12 Monitor receiving and shipping performance and investigate discrepancies to resolve/eliminate process deficiencies
13 Support internal and external audits as required
14 Prepare and manage departmental budget within established guidelines
15 Ensure all performance reviews for team members are completed on timely basis and culture is implemented to support continuous improvement in the team; this will include the professional development of all team members
16 Actively support and implement Lean principles
17 Liaise with accounting, quality control, stores and suppliers to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
18 Prepare Request for Quotations, analyse cost breakdowns and submit recommendations/proposals to support effective commodity planning
19 Implement Global Transportation programs
20 Supervise all modes of transportation to ensure the most cost efficient and customer sensitive methods are utilised in line with corporate Logistics programs
21 Resolve shipping and receiving issues such as delay, damage and paperwork discrepancies whilst managing costs associated with unpredictable conditions
22 Work with cross functional management to determine most cost efficient utilisation of production resources for on time delivery across all locations and minimisation of overall cost
23 Ensure appropriate and robust controls, checks and audits are in place to ensure ongoing compliance in relation to legal, customs and transportation security requirements Perfil del candidato 1 Previous leadership experience is required

5 Qualified to degree level ideally in an engineering discipline with a CIPS Level 4 or higher professional qualification (or equivalent)
6 Knowledge of Import/Export compliance requirements and legislation
7 IT and analytical skills ideally including cost and price analysis
8 Knowledge/understanding of contract law
9 Fluent in both verbal and written English
10 Good organisational skills
11 A high degree of self motivation
12 Ability to work as part of a team as well as being a self-starter.
